About Us
The British Nordic Ski Team is the international competitive team for Cross Country Skiing in Great
Britain. It currently runs the World Championship,
World Cup, World Junior Championship, Junior Team
and Youth Olympic Team on behalf of SnowsportGB the
British National Governing Body of Snowsports.
The team is run on a voluntary basis and currently
receives no government or lottery funding. The sport is
primarily funded directly by the athletes and the parents of the athletes. Recently the team has
expanded in size and with this has come increased success. The team now has 2 athletes qualified
for World Cup competition which is the first time Great Britain has been represented in 14 years. The
current aims for the season ahead are...
*To build on results at last years Junior World Championships
*To be in the medal zone at the European Youth Olympics
*To compete in as many World Cup competitions as is financially viable
*To have a full team at the World Championships
*To gain Olympic qualifying performances
